This settles it. There is no fucking way I’m missing NIN on their upcoming tour. The Slip has been one of my favorite releases so far this year, and if they sound even half as tight as they do in this video, this tour is going to destroy lives. No shit.
So, the next question: who wants to take a field trip? I’m going come hell or high water.
08/08 - Worcester, MA @ DCU Center
or
08/27 - East Rutherford, NJ @ Izod Center
Worcester is far, but it’s actually quite simple, and I have family there so there is a place to crash for the evening. Also, Deerhunter is opening that show. Email me if you’re interested in going to either.
I have found the best rap song about books in the entire universe. No joke. It tells you how to read, raise your children, brush your teeth, and put on Speedstick. But because of the explicit language and my own modesty, I’m not sure if I have the guts to post it here. If you’d like to hear it, shoot me an email and I’ll send you the mp3.
This is a limited time offer.
Please please please let this be “Read a Book” by Bomani D’Mite Armah!

the next time someone asks me what my type is, i’m just going to say “the guys from wolf parade.”
I watched this video on mute while listening to Metallica play “The Unforgiven” live at Bonnaroo. It was incredibly hilarious.
Side note: What the fuck was up with Metallica being AWESOME at Bonnaroo? It was totally a “please god love us again! remember when we used to be friends?” set list, but whatever, I fell for it. One song off Reload, and the rest were all off the s/t, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, … And Justice For All, etc. Fuck, the first three songs were from Ride the Lightning! And a Misfits cover to open the encore (hurray Garage Days)! Dick move!
